What We Believe

Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church is a Word-centered ministry designed to evangelize the lost, equip and empower the people of God, and provide holistic ministry to our community as well as the nation.

• We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, written by men divinely inspired and without error, written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

• We believe the Scriptures teach that there is on, and only one, living and true God who is the maker and supreme ruler of heaven and earth, and that in the unity of the Godhead, there are three persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost, equal in every divine perfection.

• We believe that Jesus Christ, God's Son, in His great mercy and love, died for us and rose again, bearing our sins in His own body on the cross.

• We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ has committed two ordinances for the local church: Baptism and the Lord's Supper.

• We believe that the Scriptures teach that in order to be saved; sinners must be regenerated, or born again.

• We believe the Scriptures teach that the Law of God is the eternal and unchangeable rule of His moral government; that it is holy, just and good.

Our Foundation is the Word of God; and we believe it in its entirety. We believe that prayer is essential for the body of Christ and the fellowshipping of the saints is a requirement of God.
